This is two hours 40 minutes. This subcommittee hearing is called to order. I want to welcome everyone to this mornings military personnel subcommittee hearing. S military personnel hearing. One byproduct of this reputation is that the military and its leaders are held to a much higher standard than almost any other institution. I know that you would never have it any other way. Consequently, the misconduct of a few can greatly impact the reputation of the military. The negative effects are greater. These incidences of senior misconduct, even though relatively rare, not only hurt the victims but can have a Lasting Impact on the readiness of a unit.
