Student Loan Agency Defends Call Center Tender Process
Law360, London (June 2, 2021, 1:53 PM BST) The public body that grants student loans in Britain has said that its tender process for a call center contract was transparent, telling a London court it had not unfairly rejected a bid by a subsidiary of an Indian conglomerate, the Hinduja Group.
Student Loans Co. Ltd. said in a defense filed with the High Court in London that it treated the British arm, Hinduja Global Solutions (UK) Ltd., fairly and in good faith during a public tender process for call-center services beginning in March 2021. Hinduja had been providing services for the agency since 2015.
Tata Motors, on Friday, said it has increased prices of its passenger vehicle (PV) range by up to Rs 20,000 to offset rising input costs and semiconductors. The company will also offer protection from the price increase to customers who have booked Tata passenger vehicles on or before January 21.
Grasim Industries: The firm said it will enter paints business and invest Rs 5,000 crore over the next three years.
