Student Loan Agency Defends Call Center Tender Process
Law360, London (June 2, 2021, 1:53 PM BST) The public body that grants student loans in Britain has said that its tender process for a call center contract was transparent, telling a London court it had not unfairly rejected a bid by a subsidiary of an Indian conglomerate, the Hinduja Group.
Student Loans Co. Ltd. said in a defense filed with the High Court in London that it treated the British arm, Hinduja Global Solutions (UK) Ltd., fairly and in good faith during a public tender process for call-center services beginning in March 2021. Hinduja had been providing services for the agency since 2015.
