The IMD has predicted isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Uttarakhand from August 10 to August 13 and has issued orange alert for several districts in the state.

Several states continue to suffer under heavy rains as monsoon gained strength on Wednesday. While Mumbai received record rainfall, several regions of Telangana too witnessed monsoon fury prompting India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue warnings.
The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, said on Saturday that the state has faced the harshest rain and flood disasters in the past 75 years.
IMD on Tuesday predicted rainfall over the Konkan region- Goa and Maharashtra, for the next five days. It also extended a possibility of heavy rains in Gujarat, Vidarbha, Telangana and Odisha in the next three days. The Meteorological Department also said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rains in Northwest India, as well as heavy rains., India News, Times Now
