Long distance backpacker David Eddy of Russellville will talk today about backpacking the Ouachita Trail, Ozark Highlands Trail, Appalachian Trail and others during the April meeting of the Ozark Society. The public is welcome. Ozark Society membership isn t necessary. The meeting is at First Presbyterian Church, 695 E. Calvin St. in Fayetteville. Social time is 6 to 7 p.m. Eddy s program is at 7 p.m. following any announcements.
Wildflowers are popping and the Sugar Creek chapter of the Ozark Society is hosting "Wildflower Wednesday" walks in April. Anyone interested in wildflowers is welcome.
Group sponsors Eureka Springs walk: Ozark Hill Hikers invite all walkers to join a walk Wednesday in Eureka Springs. Registration is from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at Best Western Inn of the Ozarks, 207 W. Van Buren St., in Eureka Springs. The entire city is on the National Register of Historic Places.
