California reported 96 deaths yesterday. That is a significant drop from the previous two days. 9000 people have died statewide since march. Overall, the numbers are moving in a better direction. There were 8000 new infections reported for a total of 493,000. Hospitalizations are down nearly 2 . Now to capitol hill where the House Committee did hear from three of the nations leading health experts. As a Lauren Blanchard reports, the committee wanted answers on the countrys response to the pandemic. We do hope as a time, we get into the late fall and early winter, we will have a vaccine that we can say would be safe and effective. Luckily that warning was called off without any damaging waves. This is video as the sirens were going off in kodiak overnight. The quake centered in the water and that tsunami warning was for south alaska, the peninsula and the aleutian islands. So you can imagine that was a lot of people that were trying to get to Higher Ground all at one time before it was called off about two hoaftethe quake.
