The Havre Education Association hosted a Havre Public School Board candidate forum Thursday in Hensler Auditorium on the Montana State University-Northern campus.
The forum was moderated by Chairman of the Havre Public Schools Education Foundation Kyle Leeds. There were nine questions from the HEA and public questions as well as follow-up questions were allowed.  ....

The Hill County Board of Health will hold a special meeting Monday to reconsider the county’s direction when it comes to actions addressing COVID-19 in the area.
Hill County Commissioner Mark Peterson, who called for the meeting, said this morning that a couple members of the board, including himself, requested that the meeting be called but he’s not sure what direction it will take.
“I don’t know if we’re going to change any thing, but we need to have a discussion,” Peterson said. ....

Hill County looking to start 1C vaccination list, still filling Thursday clinic

Hill County Health Department, which said this morning it still had openings for a Phase 1B COVID-19 vaccination clinic Thursday and for eligible people to call for an appointment, said this afternoon it wants to start building its list for the next phase.
Health Director and Hill County Health Officer Kim Larson said the department is still in the 1B phase and cannot move to Phase 1C until the state authorizes that, but the department wants to start building its call list for when the change happens. ....

Vaccinations continue through area, caution still urged

After what appeared to be a bump in the road was overcome, vaccination clinics are continuing in Hill County this week.
Hill County Health Department Health Director and Hill County Health Officer Kim Larson issued a release this morning saying the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine was experiencing shipment delays, but shortly afterward updated that to day the shipment was coming.
Larson said health officials will have 200 doses for first-dose appointments this week, and people who are eligible under the Phase 1B of the vaccine schedule Montana is in can call for appointments at 400-2369. ....
