COLOMBO (News 1st); A 03 month old infant was among the 26 COVID-19 deaths confirmed by the Director General of Health Services on Monday (10).
These fatalities were reported from the 03rd of May to 10th of May 2021, and the total number of fatalities in Sri Lanka climbed to 827.
The deceased were from Galle, Hettipola, Pallewela, Kandy, Mathugama, Padukka, Nebada (02) , Jaffna (02), Meegahagoda, Kalutara (02) , Akuressa, Moronthuduwa, Anuradhapura, Colombo 06, Kaluaggala, Moratuwa, Malwana, Borella, Colombo 15, Kandana, Maswela, Wattegama, Malabe.
1. The deceased is a 66 year old female resident in Galle. She died on 09.05.2021 in her residence. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia. ....

Eight more COVID-related deaths were confirmed in Sri Lanka on Tuesday (April 27), says the Director-General of Health Services.
The latest coronavirus victims have pushed the country’s death toll from the pandemic to 655.
According to the Government Information Department, the details of the deceased are as follows:
01. A 62-year-old man from Polgolla area: He died while receiving treatment at the Kandy National Hospital on April 23. The cause of death was recorded as COVID pneumonia.
02. A 45-year-old man from Hettipola area: After testing positive for the virus, he was transferred from Kurunegala Teaching Hospital to Kandy National Hospital where he died on April 25. COVID pneumonia was recorded as the cause of death. ....

Colombo (News 1st); The Director General of Health Services confirmed three deaths caused by Covid-19 virus infection on Wednesday (07). Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 591.
01. The deceased is an
89 year old male resident in Homagama. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 virus while undergoing treatments at Colombo South Teaching Hospital and transferred to Base Hospital Mulleriyawa where he died on 06.04.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as Septic shock, Bacterial Pneumonia in COVID 19, Acute Kidney Injury, NSTEMI.
02. The deceased is a
38 year old male resident in Thanamalwila. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 virus while undergoing treatments at District General Hospital Hambanthota and transferred to Base Hospital Homagama where he died on 06.04.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as Cardio respiratory arrest secondary to COVID Pneumonia. ....
