âSecond wifeâ claimed by Mamunul files rape case against him 224 NARAYANGANJ, April 30, 2021 (BSS) – Jannat Ara Jharna, the âsecond wifeâ claimed by Hefazat-e-Islam leader Mamunul Haque, toady filed a case against him for allegedly raping her enticing into marriage. She recorded the rape case with Sonargaon police station in Narayanganj. Later, she was sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for medical check-up, police sources said. On April 3 last, locals held Hefazat-e-Islam leader Mamunul Haque at the Sonargaon Royal Resort along with Jharna. According to the case statement, Jharna was forcibly kept at the homes of acquaintances of Mamunul after the resort scandal. ....
Hefajat leader Korban remanded in 2013 Paltan mayhem case 149 DHAKA, April 21, 2021 (BSS) – A court here today placed Hefajat-e-Islam Dhaka city unit vice-president Mawlana Korban Ali on seven-day remand in a case lodged over the mayhem in capital’s Paltan area in 2013. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid passed the order as police produced Korban, also a joint secretary general of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, before the court and pleaded to place him on 10-day remand. Police arrested Korban Ali from capital’s Basabo area at around 5.30 pm on April 20. Hefajat-e-Islam laid seize on capital’s Shapla Chattar area on May 5, 2013, unleashing inexpressible atrocities in and around the capital. ....
