And today, after more than 50 votes in congress to repeal or weaken this law, after a president ial election based in part on preserving or repealing this law, after multiple challenges to this law before the Supreme Court, the Affordable Care act is here to stay. The challenge was based on these four words, quote established by the state. Opponents said the afraid maze federal subsidies illegal in certain states. The chief justice of the Supreme Court, john roberts, said in his majority opinion, that he disagreed. He said the meaning of that phrase may not be as clear as it appears, when read out of context, and by using the words much exchange, the act indicates that state and federal exchanges should be the same.
