Pfizer Covid-19 booster shots for ages 12-17 approved

(PNA photo by Joey Razon) MANILA - Health Secretary Francisco Duque III has approved the recommendation of the Health Assessment Technology Council for the administration of Pfizer booster shots for children ages 12-17. In a message to reporters Tuesday, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire confirmed the latest move and said guidelines are being drafted. The Department of Health has yet to identify the number of children ages 12 to 17 years old due for booster shots. Earlier, National Vaccinations Operations Center chief Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje said booster administration for the age group would start as soon as guidelines are released. As of June 19, about 70,032,274 million or 77.81 percent of the country's target population (90,005,357) are vaccinated against Covid-19. (PNA) } ....
