A total of five people were inside that car when the driver lost control. There was a vehicle that was traveling we believe at a high rate of speed. And lost control for unknown reasons. Happen tonight. The fire danger will be elevated tonight. Right now a system is passing through and thats producing high elevation snow in the sierra nevada. The snow level is extremely high. But behind that system winds are picking up at mt. Tam gusting to 37. And thats what were about to see here. So red flag warning begins for the North East Bay hills Santa Cruz Mountains until 10 00 a. M. Sunday. Daytime humidity between 5 and 20 , very dry and when fires do develop, if they do, theyll spread rapidly. Please be careful out there. Same areas under a wind advisory for the same time period. Gust overs 50 Miles Per Hour may make it difficult for driving. Basically were looking at wind picking up behind the system that is passing through here right now. Were dealing with possibly gusts up to 50 Miles Per Hour, although i was looking at the models and it looks like were trending more towards the 40 Miles Per Hour gusts. Were already seeing those gusts in mount diablo, typically a windy spot, but when youre dealing with humidity below 10 , 20 even, it could cause a flag for concerning which is why that will remain in effect through sunday morning. I will break down that wind pattern, a timeline of those winds, when were expecting to be the gustiest coming up in just a bit. I know the air quality remains fairly unhealthy for the north bay and the coast. This wind will help clear up some of that air ....
