Deadline for Haydenville church’s shrimp boil fundraiser is Thursday

WILLIAMSBURG The last day to buy tickets for the Haydenville Congregational Church’s Cajun shrimp boil fundraiser is Thursday, the centerpiece of which will be shrimp prepared by the Rev. Donald Morgan, the church’s pastor.
“He wanted to do what he called his Louisiana Shrimp Boil,” said Trish LaFreniere, the head of the church’s fundraising committee. “He is cooking the shrimp.”
Morgan spent 13 years in Biloxi, Mississippi, on a United Church of Christ mission and he said he learned his shrimp boil there. Morgan also said people should not be scared away from the boil by the word “Cajun.” ....
