into good afternoon in the news this noon, police are searching for two home invasion suspects who tied up a robbed the victims this morning in philadelphia. and an early morning inferno caused this property damage at the jersey shore. but the big story is the cleanup in upper darby at the site of yesterday s septa crash. the national transportation safety board is taking over the investigation as crews are removing the derailed train cars. katherine scott joins us now with the latest. reporter: sara, as the train operator remains in the hospital this noon in critical condition, the effort to clear all of this up and the investigation continues. you can see the crews are still at work here on this loop. they have been focused on that section of the train now for hours. as far as service this morning was concerned. there was no significant delays reported due to this incident. in the overnight hours, and into the morning septa crews were still at work engaged in the te
remains in the hospital. and why the collision occurred remains the big question. yesterday the septa gm off safety says they are equipped with an atc system automatic train control and that is suppose to make safe train. the signal system keeps the train separated. and it can also be monitored by septa s command center, they asked to talk to someone about the capability of the system installed in 2003 and that question was turned down and that it would be a central part of the crash investigation. now, we should emphasize that nothing is off the table as far as we know. the ntsb is saying nothing about the investigation as far as it goes and from the past the feds can be thorough and methodical. they look at everything human performance factors and mechanical issues and safety systems. it could take months to do some investigation and tests and it could take as much as a year for a final determination, live in upper darby, john rawlins, channel 6 action news. thank
