The Star reported in December as a crowdfunding campaign to bring the store to St Helens town centre reached its target of £40,000 thanks to donations from the community, which enabled the project to access additional funds. The former Furniture Boutique on Bridge Street, part of Church Square Shopping Centre, will be transformed into the bookshop. While the latest coronavirus lockdown has meant the initial aim of opening to coincide with World Book Day in early March will not be met, it is hoped the shop can be open to the public later in the spring. ....
