Many people told us theyre staying in hotels, that this is a tradition to come to the city to watch the fireworks and be with the crowds. Lets head right to Spencer Christian for a look at our forecast. Weve got snow levels down to about 2,000 feet. That will be the situation tonight overnight. Right now on live doppler 7 were looking at patches of mainly light rain but up in the north bay i its a bit more widy scattered. Its heavier near hillsburg and eastern sonoma county, up around mt. St. Helena area its quite active there. Lets take a look at our storm impact scale. A significant storm is on the way. It will hit us mainly tomorrow. Well see windy conditions in the afternoon and evening. The commute will be a messy one. Generally rainfall totals range from half an inch to 2 inches. Starting at 6 00 this evening as we get later into the evening hours, well see more snow developing up in the Higher Elevations of northern sonoma county, parts of mendocino county, lake county and pockets of rain becoming more widespread across the entire region.
