State Track Recap: Two Titles for Charles City's Collins, Osage Girls Finished Third – KCHA News

markp4 hours agoLast Updated: May 24, 2021 Charles City Junior Ian Collins is a 2-time state champion at the Iowa High School State Track and Field Championships in Des Moines this past weekend. Friday, Collins claimed the boys Class 3A long jump crown with a leap of 23 feet and three-quarters inches. Thursday, Collins won the 3A high jump title clearing 6 feet 9 inches. His sister, Keely Collins, took second in the girls 3A high jump as a freshman. Charles City Senior Kiki Connell was the state runner-up in the girls 3A 3000 meters and also placed third in the 1500 meters and 4th in the 800 meters.

Speeding Arizona woman refused to pull over: police

A woman in Arizona caught speeding told officers she didn t pull over for them because she felt like it was the right thing to do, the Mesa Police Department said. In a release from the agency, officers say Hannah Clevenger was speeding Monday, weaving in and out of traffic and taking up two lanes at once with her car. One officer says after he got behind her car and turned on his car s lights, she looked at him through her driver s side mirror but didn t pull over.  The officer then reportedly turned on his patrol car s siren along with his lights to further grab Hannah s attention. Still, Clevenger reportedly didn t pull over.

The officer tried to pull her over with lights and a siren, but she allegedly looked at him in her driver s side mirror and continued on.

An Arizona woman driving erratically told a police officer during her arrest that she refused to pull over because I felt it was the right thing to do, authorities said Wednesday. Hannah Clevenger was spotted around 2 p.m. Monday driving at speeds upwards of 70 mph, weaving between lanes and driving on the lane line, the Mesa Police Department said in a news release. The officer activated his lights and siren in an attempt to pull over Clevenger. But police said that Clevenger looked at the officer through the driver s side window and continued driving.
