40 independent publishers are taking part in online campaigns and in-person events up and down the UK, in a combined effort to generate interest and revenue for community journalism
The Nigerian Guild of Editors and British Broadcasting Corporation Media Action, as part of over 50 people/organisations in 20 countries, have adopted the principles of fair compensation for publishers across the globe.
These Principles were adopted by participants at 'Big Tech and Journalism – Building a Sustainable Future in the Global South', a conference held at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (Gibs) in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 14 July 2023.
