After reporting Covid-19 cases below 500 for two days, Mumbai on Wednesday reported 635 new cases and 582 recoveries. The city also reported 10 fresh fatalities. At present, there are 6,989 active COVID-19 cases in the metropolis. Mumbai s recovery rate is 96 percent. Maharashtra reported 8,602 new coronavirus cases and 170 deaths, taking the caseload. The UAE’s decision to ban flights from India due to the worsening Covid-19 situation in the country has upset a lot of travel plans as people are making frantic efforts to reach to their destinations before the restrictions come into effect.
The UAE has banned travel from India for 10 days from Sunday. The ban will come into effect from 11.59 pm on Saturday, April 24, and is subject to review after 10 days, the Gulf News reported.

New Delhi, Mar 02: The Interpol has issued Red Corner notices against gangster Iqbal Mirchi s wife and two sons.
The notices have been issued against Hajra Iqbal and sons, Junaid and Asif Iqbal Memon. The three are suspected to be living in the United Kingdom.
On February 26, a Special PMLA court eclared three family members of late gangster Iqbal Mirchi as fugitive economic offenders under the provisions of a law by the same name, official sources said.
Those charged include Mirchi s wife Hajra Memon and sons Junaid Memon and Asif Memon.
