Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has announced the successful financial close of Rabigh-4 IWP, an Independent Water Plant with a 600,000 cu m/day capacity. A consortium led by Saudi-based Acwa Power is developing the project.

A consortium led by Acwa Power, a leading Saudi developer of power and desalination projects, has emerged as the preferred bidder to build a 600,000 cu m/day RO desalination plant in Rabigh located 180 km northwest of Makkah city on the Red Sea coast.
Consortiums of global industry giants Spanish infrastructure major Acciona and Saudi-based Acwa Power as well as French energy giant Engie are in the race for Rabigh 4, an independent water project in Saudi Arabia with a capacity of 600,000 cu m/day.
