you are watching the beat with ari melber. we re covering this conclusion of donald trump fraud trial. there he was in court, the second time he s been in the courtroom this week, instead of campaigning in iowa. it s a telling sign of how personal this all is to trump, as you can see him there. he basically has opted out of the traditional campaign activities. he was not required to attend, but that s what it looked like in the courtroom today. we also heard from the attorney general who has been on something of a streak here. she already won the fraud finding portion of this. now they re fighting over potentially penalties. the judge also gave donald trump a chance to speak today, but required he had to comments only on facts and law if he did so. trump didn t stick to that, went into a ran, speaking for about five minutes, arguing this is wrong and a fraud, and he actually tried to attack the judge in the courtroom, making a reference to his own agenda. that was abo ....
Just this week. one is the business empire that he has so long bragged about, touted and, according to the attorney general, lied about, whether it s going to be hit with major, major multi-hundred million dollar fines and how that affects him as a business and as a candidate. he could be forced into things like he can t high, like publicly selling off assets, or the court forcing the sale of assets whether he likes it or not. then on the other side, of course, he was in a separate federal courtroom where he s trying to fend off a trial which will result in his raise. at the town hall last flight, he tried to downplay many of the things he s done, including threats designed to rattle the system or poison the gyre pool or scare people in government where he s vowed retribution. if you covered our coverage last ....
