Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], April 30 (ANI): As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to put a strain on the country s health care infrastructure, the Adani Group will soon convert the Adani Vidya Mandir school campus in Ahmedabad into a COVID care centre. In support of the state s fight against the virus, the Adani Group will open a COVID Centre(CCC) in Ahmedabad. Under the stewardship of the Adani Foundation, the Adani Vidya Mandir school campus in the city will be converted into a supportive care facility for COVID ve patients, a statement from the Adani Group read.

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani has felicitated the state cooperators for doing a praiseworthy work in the implementation of Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana (AGSY) in the state. They got felicitated in a meeting held in Gandhinagar to understand and implement the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana’ last week.
Gujarat Urban Cooperative Banks Federation President Jyotindrabhai Mehta, Gujarat State Cooperative Bank Chairman Ajaybhai Patel and Uttar Gujarat Urban Cooperative Bank Federation Chairman Kantibhai Patel were felicitated with trophies and certificates on the occasion.
Sharing the news through social media Gujarat Chief Minister wrote, “A meeting was held in Gandhinagar to understand and implement the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana’. The basic mantra of determination of cooperation is helping small people”.
Gujarat based Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank known as a “Large Bank of a Small Man” was one of the UCBs singled out by the state Chief Minister for its exemplary performance in implementing the Atmnirbhar Yojna.
A function was held recently for honoring its branches for their unprecedented achievements during the corona pandemic. It is said the bank has disbursed a total of Rs 522 crore to 38,000 small borrowers under the Atmnirbhar Yojna, says a press release issued by the bank.
Addressing the function, several leaders including Gujarat Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani said the bank has done a commendable job helping extremely poor people maintain their families, meet the costs of their medical treatment and several other expenses during the lockdowns.
