The first largest urban cooperative bank of Gujarat- Kalupur Commercial Cooperative Bank has earned a gross profit to the tune of Rs 285.91 crore which is the highest ever in the history of the bank. The achievement is laudable more so as Covid constraints are impeding operations. The UCB has also once again maintained Zero Net NPA for 2020-21 financial year.
Kalupur Commercial Cooperative Bank has also crossed the business mix of Rs 14k crore and performed well almost on all financial parameters. “Now, we are aiming to achieve a business mix of Rs 15,500 crore at the end of current financial year”, said an euphoric Chairman Navnitbhai Patel to Indian Cooperative on the phone.

Huge profit is partly due to Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana
Rajkot Nagrik Sahkari Bank in Gujarat has stood out, netting a remarkable profit of Rs 129 crores and a total business turnover of Rs 8, 276 crores in defiance of Covid 19. The profit counts a whopping 46 percent higher than the profit of last year. This was revealed during the bank’s AGM.
As per the notes presented by the bank chairman Nalinbhai Vasa and the vice chairman Shailendrabhai Thakar, the bank’s total deposit stands at Rs.5,140 crore and total loan at Rs. 3,136 crore. The net NPA of the bank is negligible and will soon reduce to zero, claims the press release.
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani has felicitated the state cooperators for doing a praiseworthy work in the implementation of Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana (AGSY) in the state. They got felicitated in a meeting held in Gandhinagar to understand and implement the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana’ last week.
Gujarat Urban Cooperative Banks Federation President Jyotindrabhai Mehta, Gujarat State Cooperative Bank Chairman Ajaybhai Patel and Uttar Gujarat Urban Cooperative Bank Federation Chairman Kantibhai Patel were felicitated with trophies and certificates on the occasion.
Sharing the news through social media Gujarat Chief Minister wrote, “A meeting was held in Gandhinagar to understand and implement the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana’. The basic mantra of determination of cooperation is helping small people”.
