Gretta Jackson made history by becoming the first Black woman to own an Outback Steakhouse, which she says, although hard-earned, is worth the struggle. “It makes everything that I’ve gone through, every setback every person who told me I couldn’t. Every obstacle that got in my way. Every time I wanted to quit, all of those things, it makes it so worth it,” Jackson said. It began about 2 decades ago, when Jackson got a part-time employment at an Outback restaurant. One year down the line, she thought it better to work full-time, and that was what kick-started her long journey towards her success.
