Energy efficiency, sustainable design
The 2020 Vermont s Greenest Building Awards, which announced its winners at the end of last month, spotlights some of the latest residential and commercial buildings that excel at energy efficiency and sustainable design features for water, health, transportation and affordability.
The winning projects were selected by the Vermont Green Building Network, which recognized some of the state s most innovative and creative feats in green design in recent years.
All projects entered into the contest are in Vermont and have at least a year of utility data showcasing that it can operate at a sustainable rate.
Among the awards for the contest includes Vermont s Greenest Building, which goes to the highest scoring green building in Vermont incorporating low energy-use, and the Net Zero Award
