PETERSBURG - The Links, Incorporated [Petersburg Chapter] nonprofit organization with accomplished and dedicated women active in their community will be presenting a virtual arts showcase.
The 2021 theme is THE BLACK FAMILY: REPRESENTATION, IDENTITY, AND DIVERSITY. The showcase will take place virtually on Sunday, May 16. 
All Students enrolled in grades ninth through twelfth in the Greater Petersburg area may participate. 
The showcase features students from high schools within the Chapter’s service area: Appomattox Regional Governors School, Lloyd C. Bird High School, Dinwiddie Senior High School, Hopewell High School, Matoaca High School, Meadowbrook High School, Petersburg High School, Prince George High School, Thomas Dale High School, Surry High School, and Sussex Central High School.  ....

RICHMOND Applications are now being taken from private schools across Virginia to get a share of federally designated money to help them get back on track under the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Northam administration Thursday announced that $2.75 billion in emergency education relief funding will be made available to assist private elementary, middle and high-school level education. That money will go into the Emergency Assistance for Non-Public Schools [EANS] program, which provides the funding based on applications submitted by the eligible schools. ....
