Their next project was just announced: Anderson will direct an adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s story “In the Lost Lands,” starring Jovovich and Dave Bautista. Jovovich will play the sorceress Gray Alys, whose magical services are hired by a queen. To fulfill the queen’s wish, Gray heads into the lost lands with only Boyce (Bautista) as her guide. “In the Lost Lands” was originally published in 1982. Writing on LiveJournal, Martin said it was originally meant to launch a series: “I had in mind a series of loosely connected tales about the enigmatic witch woman Gray Alys, and those who were brave or foolish or desperate enough to treat with her.
