A property near milepost 157 on Highway 26 was the scene of theft early Saturday morning, said Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley.
McKinley said someone had broken into the property, between midnight and 6 a.m. on March 30.
During the crime, an item was dragged to Highway 26, and then left on the side of the roadway until help arrived to load it in another vehicle, he said.
