A representative of Natel Broadband said a $75,000 contribution would help financially with the project. He said the investment would help provide some county residents with quality 100/100 Mbps broadband service for $79 per month. Slower 50/50 Mbps service would run about $59 per month.
The proposed property tax asking for urban areas is slightly less than $6.64 per $1,000 taxable valuation, while for rural areas the proposed asking is a little above $9.21 per $1,000 taxable valuation.
