The program was part of state law with House Bill 3 during the 86th Texas Legislature, with districts being required to spend 90% or more of the allotment funding on teacher compensation on the campuses where the designated teachers work.

Over 30 students from Graham High School and Graham Junior High School are participating in the production of “Shrek the Musical Jr.” which begins with a performance this Sunday. GHS theatre teacher Katie Huitt and GJHS theatre teacher Kay Berru will be rehearsing with the students involved in the play up until the first performance Sunday, Jan. 28.
An opinion of the cost and the final construction documents for the new Graham Junior High School band hall were approved this week by the Graham ISD Board of Trustees. The construction of a new GJHS band hall using $3.66 million of the district fund balance was approved by the board in October. Half of the new 7,000-square-foot facility will include a storm shelter which can occupy all students and staff on campus.
