And in this particular location, that will push the smoke and the flames uphill directly towards Alum Rock Park. We are looking at right now west winds sustained 15 to 17 Miles Per Hour. It is hot. As were showing you chopper pictures right now, we do not know if any evacuations have been ordered but it looks like no homes are in danger right now. Weve heard reports that eight to ten acres have burned. Were not sure about the acreage count just yet. And also, in talking with firefighters, they say that its looking to be a lot larger. Clara county wildfire, all fighting this blaze. Im told roughly 125 firefighters are on scene. And again a, while no structures have been damaged, weve been talking to nearby residents up here in south san jose, and they tell us they cant help but be concerned. Its a little unnerving whenever you see the smoke break out is quickly so close to your home. It is something weve learned to live with a little bit, but usually its not this close to our house. Are you worried, that you may have to be evacuated . At the moment, no. It still seems far away, and i have a lot of confidence in the Fire Department and cal fire. They do a really good job. Reporter and they have been able to tackle this fire rather quickly. Again, it looks as though vegetation is the only thing thats been on fire here. Dry brush and trees have burned. It still pretty quiet but we do have slow traffic on the tracy commute and 205 and 580. Westbound interstate 580 and 205 are going to be busy. 205 is slow coming up on the triangle. When you get into the main part of livermore, it looks good into dublin and out to Castro Valley. The commute on interstate 880 looks good and for the the Oakland Airport exit. Cal fire crews are battling a brush fire that started near san jose yesterday. This started as a little fire on metcalf road near san felipe road, east of highway 101 in the foothills near san jose. Cal fires most recent report shows 40 acres have burned. The flames are 40 contained. This started as a car fire that spread to nearby grass.
