Happening to him. Hes a hate news monger. Hes being challenged in court for things hes done. I do think this is another example of how these companies are struggling to figure out how to handle content on their platforms. Its harder than having an algorithm decide what to do. And what is the policy moving forward. Unclear. Appreciate it. Thank you all for being with me. Im poppy p py harlow in new yo. Next hour starts now. Hello, everyone, here is a question for do you believe an admitted liar or an accused one . That is exactly what jurors are face floodinging today in a Vid Courtroom as the star witness is back on the stand in the trial against Paul Manafort. So far Rick Gates Has been telling the court a riveting tail of betrayal, theft, and years of financial fraud. And while there is nothing here about what either man ....
kamal flowers going rogue on the white house s covert messaging. contradicting her boss about unvaccinated americans and appearing to give china a pass. is that the fault of the unvaccinated? i don t think this is a moment to talk about fault. it is no one s fault that this virus hit our shores or shook the world. but it is more about individuals powers and responsibility and about the decisions that everyone has the choice to make. why they spent millions and aunt attacking president trump thank you assault on china. why is your initial instinct and reflex to say china is at fault than going to say something else. speak up because she has a democrat and we are grading on a curve. i think we ve made congress that maybe it she is trying to steer him in a different direction. maybe this is a good cop/bad cop strategy or maybe she is relenting and creating separation from the ....
30-year-olds who let him get behind the wheel. if we expect anything different from president trump at this point, in a weird way it s our fault. we re grading on a curve. we re all kind of desperate for some sense of normalcy and so when he makes even rhetorical nods in that direction, we tend to overreact, we tend to say, well, maybe this will work. that was donald trump. that was him at lunch with people he pretends to hate, tv news anchors, but whose approval he craves, actually being trump. and then he goes up, he gives a well-written speech for the most part, but the real trump was at lunch. and i don t think it s going to change. you always hate to foreclose the possibility of redemption or growth. but i m pretty close. jon meacham, jon, thank you. i wish we had more time to dissect this thing. i ve got to get to some breaking news, though. we re going back to ....
Extradited. that s when he was head of the national security council. got it. so what we can say because i m just holding my argument for when i m on the subway today is that the judge didn t feel it was satisfactory, right, the deal he had with prosecutors or defense strategy to lie about what he should have known or something else? the judge felt he need ed to be harsher on flynn than the prosecutors? mueller knows everything the judge knows. the prosecutors were asking right. and they know exactly what this judge knows. that doesn t make a lot of sense to me. the other thing is that this could be damaging for anyone who is a potential future cooperator with the mueller probe. mueller is grading on a curve here. flynn was the most cooperative. manafort was the least cooperative. he thought he was going to cooperate and then lie d. flynn was the one who was going to get no jail time for his cooperation. could this have a chilling effect? it could, on future cooperators. ....
Quote, a person to speak to an administration official on his behalf. they say he otherwise just didn t fess up to additional contacts he had with trump administration officials. he denied those contacts to prosecutors when they asked him about it. he said that he didn t have those communications, but he did. so, again, this was including a senior administration official as described by manafort s prosecutors. so, again, this document was filed with the judge in manafort s case today, and it s interesting. it raises all sorts of interesting questions. compared with the other stuff that we got today, i think it doesn t actually tell us all that much if we re grading on a curve. again, the most juicy stuff from the manafort case right now may be not public facing right now. manafort s team said they simply submitted a motion to submit filing under appeal the factual material that relates to pending investigations or uncharged individuals. ....
