But while those are great Mustangs, it s been the GT500 that has held the title of Greatest Mustang whenever it was on sale.
The 2020 Shelby GT500, then, takes a crown that was always its birthright. But its reign will not be more of the same. This new car has as little in common with the character of past GT500s as the current Mustang does with one from 1965.
