Grantham tattoo artist launches pet portrait business Published: 15:50, 08 March 2021 A Grantham tattoo artist has launched her own pet portrait business after being on furlough for the past year. Isobel Ashwin, of Goodliff Road, Grantham, has worked at the Natural Selection tattoo studio, on Huntingtower Road, for six years. But with all tattoo shops currently closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Isobel has used the free time to indulge in her passion for drawing. Isobel Ashwin artwork. (44788062) The 24-year-old said: âI have always had a passion for art and for drawing and I have drawn pictures of peopleâs pets since I was a teenager. When I was 18 I became a tattoo artist. Unfortunately this meant that I had less time to draw, however I still occasionally took on commissioned work. However, due to coronavirus, from March 2020 I was no longer allowed to tattoo due to the lockdowns and non-essential businesses being forced to close. ....

Santa to take socially-distanced tour in Grantham on Christmas Eve Published: 12:30, 18 December 2020 A dad and trainee counsellor is planning to take a socially-distanced tour of Grantham on Christmas Eve while dressed as Santa. Matthew Ash, of Atlantic Place, Grantham, came up with the idea as a way to spread some festive cheer after a difficult year for many youngsters. Matthew said: âItâs been a confusing year for children during the pandemic, which could be having a detrimental effect on their mental health. Charity sleigh tour cut short after stones thrown at Santa and his helpers on Grantham street | Updated: 16:28, 18 December 2020 Grantham Lions Club was forced to abandon its sleigh tour last night after Santa and his helpers were pelted with stones. The route was cut short on Goodliff Road when a group of about six youths started throwing stones at Santa and his sleigh as they tried to make their way down Goodliff Road. The Lions visited Barrowby last night as part of their annual Christmas tour to raise money for local good causes, before moving on to Heathfield Road, Trent Road and Goodliff Road. ....
