Grantham Covid support group donates bras to underwear charity Published: 14:07, 18 February 2021 Grantham and Rural Areas Community Effort (GRACE) group has donated two boxes of bras to Smalls For All, a charity that distributes underwear to help adults and children in Africa and the UK. GRACE founder Jayne Robb said: “At GRACE we are proud, on behalf of the people of Grantham, to be sending off another two boxes of your donated bras to the ‘Smalls For All’ charity for them to send them across to the African continent. #amazinggrace. GRACE is open every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, between 1-3pm at St John s Church on Station Road.

Grantham Lions share £900 donation between good causes

Published: 12:09, 14 February 2021 Grantham Lions Club has shared a £900 donation between four separate local charity organisations and good causes. Grantham and Rural Areas Community Effort (GRACE), Grantham Rescue 0f Cats and Kittens (ROCK), Rainbow Children’s Hospice in Loughborough and C & L Animal Tracks have all benefited from the donation, after what has been a very difficult year for many of the smaller charities and organisations. Grantham Covid support group postpones reopening but support remains A Covid support group have postponed their reopening due to Covid-19 guidelines. Grantham and Rural Areas Community Effort (GRACE) hoped to open their doors again next week, but due to the county moving into Tier 4, they will now reopen on Tuesday, January 19, at St John the Evangelist Church, on Station Road, Grantham. Santa to take socially-distanced tour in Grantham on Christmas Eve Published: 12:30, 18 December 2020 A dad and trainee counsellor is planning to take a socially-distanced tour of Grantham on Christmas Eve while dressed as Santa. Matthew Ash, of Atlantic Place, Grantham, came up with the idea as a way to spread some festive cheer after a difficult year for many youngsters. Matthew said: “It’s been a confusing year for children during the pandemic, which could be having a detrimental effect on their mental health. I’m hoping to just make them smile.” Matthew Ash will be dressing us as Santa on Christmas Eve. (43534855)
