Multiple agencies including the Coronado Police Department, Harbor Police and the San Diego County District Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene
Police identified the deceased as 68-year-old Patricia Viola, whose family has been notified of her passing. Authorities have not stated what the cause of death was, but noted that there were no obvious signs of trauma.
Lt. Thomas Seiver of the Homicide Unit said Viola lived on a boat in the area for an extended period of time and added that there was no missing person case that could have been linked to her death.
The investigation is ongoing.
