The Rebound: Downtown Lexington starting to feel a bit of revival

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) â After a rough year, the hospitality industry is on the comeback. Restrictions have slowly been lifted and events are happening in downtown Lexington. It s a light at the end of the tunnel for many businesses.
Bluegrass Tavern has become a staple bar in the pavilion. For the bourbon bar, each shutdown was harder than the next. It s so hard to manage staffing, manage inventory and manage finances when you don t know how long you re going to be open, Bluegrass Tavern Owner Sean Ebbitt said.

Saturday- Sacred Heart won the Girls Sweet 16 basketball Tournament Championship 49-47 over Marshall County.
The Cincinnati Reds lost two of the three games in Phoenix against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Winning the opener 6-5 Friday night, losing 8-3 Saturday night and getting shutout in the series finale 7-0 on Sunday. The Reds at San Francisco Giants for a three-game series Monday night at 9:45pm. Opening round games at the Girls Sweet 16 Thursday saw 2nd region winner Henderson County rout 3rd region winner Apollo 55-31, 1st region winner Marshall County downed Pikeville 56-52, Bethlehem over Bullitt East 70-65 and Russell over Dixie Heights 58-44.
Today’s Quarterfinal Games
Sacred Heart faces Bowling Green at 11 am, followed by Franklin County and Anderson County at 1 pm. The evening session has Marshall County going against Bethlehem at 4 pm followed by Henderson County and Russell at 7 pm.
