Eugene P. “Gene” “Butch” Preiner, 88 formerly of Woodland, died Friday, Apr. 16th at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton with his family by his side. Gene was born Dec. 1, 1932 in Duluth to Anthony and Rose Preiner. He worked at Calvary Cemetery and as a laborer and truck driver for Cutler Magner for many years. He was a faithful member of St. John’s Church. Gene loved to fish, hunt, woodwork, and play cards, especially cribbage. He enjoyed making people laugh, rooting for the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings, scenic car rides, spending time with his family and helping them with home improvement projects. ....
