More than one thousand Blue Cross Blue Shield workers in Michigan, members of the UAW, have been walking the picket lines for three weeks while union officials have refused to provide updates on what is being discussed in negotiations.
Less than two days before the contract expiration for 150,000 auto workers, more than one thousand UAW members at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan walked out on strike on Wednesday to demand an end to tiered pay structure, an increase in wages and benefits and the defense of their jobs.
