Book explores Montgomeryshire's first immigrants to new world

Shortly after the indenture, Margaret James of Newchurch married Samuel Miles of Llanfihangel Helygen and then emigrated.
In this item, a hope is expressed that it will encourage research into emigration. As it happens, the Montgomeryshire Genealogical Society will be publishing a book in June entitled Selected Tales of Emigrants from Montgomeryshire.
This covers more than 50 emigrants from the county to all corners of the world from the seventeenth to nineteenth centuries.
Within the text are included people such as David Pott, who was a direct ancestor of the Roosevelt family, William Bryan Humphreys, the father of the notorious Murray the Hump, Pryce Lewis, the American Civil War spy, John Jones, father of George Jones the founder of the New York Times, and Nettleton Goodwin, the brother of Geraint Goodwin. The book runs to 120 pages and the price of the book will be £8. ....

Glenn has himself recently established the thriving Daisy Bank organic milk business, supplying milk in returnable glass bottles, setting up local refill points and vending machines for milk, and producing a new line of naturally flavoured milks. ....
