resumed combat operations in the gaza strip accusing hamas of violating the truce by firing rockets toward israel. there have been multiple rockets. they have been intercepted. which shows that hamas has moved back into an attacking position. amongst the israeli people, we intercepted the rockets thankfully. otherwise they could have fallen on communities, cities, kindergartens. again, we re just now getting back to life after the tragedies of the last 55 days. children are going back to school here. it is friday morning and once again we intercepted those and we ve resumed our combat missions against hamas in the gaza strip. hamas controlled ministry of health says 32 people have been killed since the fighting began five hours ago. the fighting resumed just minutes after midnight eastern time when a seven day truce between israel and hamas expired. thursday hamas released eight women and children hostages in exchange for 30 palestinians freed from jail by israel. scott m
it is good to be back with you in this second hour of chris jansing reports. we start with that breaking news out of fulton county, georgia, a major admission from the lawyer for one of donald trump s codefendants in that sweeping rico case. nbc s blayne alexander is following that. for folks who weren t here, setting the stage, fani willis, the d.a. went to the judge after some videos were linked of people who had turned evidence and said, i need a protective order. but we didn t know who might have leaked those videos. what just happened in court? reporter: well, we now know at least one of the people who leaked the videos. it was an attorney for one of the 15 remains codefendants. jonathan miller, he represents misty hanson, one of the 15 codefendants, just said during this open hearing, during this virtual hearing in open court that he did leak the videos to at least one media outlet, and so he kind of gave a small preamble said that in order to make sure he can sleep

week s program, i used pretty strong language to slam the new york times for swallowing hamas propaganda with that initial headline, israelis kill hundreds in hospital, palestinians say, which was flatly untrue. the day after the show, the times essentially apologized saying in an editor s note the paper relied too heavily on claims by hamas and did not make clear those claims could not be legally verified. times editors should have taken more care and been more explicit sit about what information could be verified. i give the paper credit, but the damage, the enflaming of the region, cannot be undone. and cnn has now run a correction to its first story blaming israel for the hospital explosion which was caused by an errant islamic jihad rocket. as israel conducts its second incursion into gaza, the hamas terrorists have now released two israeli hostages, an 85-year-old woman and a 79-year-old woman. just think about that for a minute, amid all the rush of other war news.
