Some of its finest, yet unhappy officers, are walking out the door. Still, the assistant chief doesnt believe her officers are disgruntled. No, i dont believe that. I dont believe any of our officers are unhappy being San Jose Police officers or working for the city of san jose. I think they really love working for the city of san jose. Just around the corner from where we are at tully and lanai. Were told he was grazed by a bullet and that police are looking for one suspect and possibly more. Now youre taking look down tully road right now. You can see thats the highway 101 overpass. You can see there are lots of Police Officers around here. They have blocked the road while they search for the suspect. There are lots of stores here and gas stations and restaurants, and they are all empty. Police have cleared everyone out. Theyve set up crime tape and they are, there is just a heavy presence here. Nobody here is talking. Theyre not telling us whats going on but we know they are looking for a suspect and one officer is being treated for a grazed wound. He was shot by a suspect and grazed and police right now are looking for suspect in this area. The perimeter is very wide. Im not sure how wide but theyve got the tully offramp. This couple, a cop and his wife who live there. They are accused of trying to swindle an elderly woman on their street out of her nearly milliondollar estate. It makes me sad that people would prey on the elderly like that. And especially under the guise of being a police officer. Reporter upset and disturbed, this resident is talking about her neighborhood. Former police commander, 36 yearold matthew messier, behind bars, charged with defrauding an 82yearold woman who lived three doors down from him. Everyone called her jean. He was able to basically con her into signing over her entire estate to him and his wife. He is very good at convincing you. The port director, omar benjamin, resigned following allegations he improperly spent public money including thousands at a houston strip club. The strike starts at the port at 6 a. M. Replacement nurses are ready for duty at 10 bay area hospitals that are facing a strike this morning.
