Asked to pick a New Year s Resolution for the Broncos, ESPN s Jeff Legwold picked Get (and stay) healthy, but if I may add one of my own, I ll go a different route. Through 16 weeks, the Broncos have earned a rather unfortunate distinction with a league-worst -20 turnover differential. The next-worst team s differential is half that. To Legwold s point, injuries have played a key role in this; it s hard to imagine a full strength defense with Von Miller, Jurrell Casey, A.J. Bouye and Bryce Callahan still forcing just 12 takeaways. ....

As part of the Denver Broncos Inspire Change program, the organization announced on Thursday a $250,000-plus donation toward player-designated social justice programs throughout Colorado as well as individual players local communities. More than 30 players participated in the review, voting and selection of five Colorado programs and organizations to each receive $40,000 through the team s Social Justice Fund (Restorative Practices Program – The Conflict Center, Know Your Rights Training and Education – ACLU of Colorado, Colorado Freedom Fund, Second Chance Center and Second Wind Fund). These designated initiatives are in the focus areas of Education & Youth, Bail & Criminal Justice Reform and Community Mental Health Resources (more information about each recipient organization below). ....

And their focus is on one position and one player in particular. Drew Lock. Through 16 starts, Lock has compiled an 8-8 record and has completed 57.7 percent of his passes for 2,330 yards, 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions this season. Over his last four games, Lock has taken steps, as he s completed 66.6 percent of his passes for 833 yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions since starting 0-of-6 against the Dolphins. He has also lost two fumbles, including one that was returned for a touchdown against Buffalo. ....
