And of course, we read a few of the letters that he sent home when he was traveling in 1959, as well as in 1964 in africa as well as the middle east. As well as a few speeches that he made. One in 1959 and another in 1965 before he was killed. That really sort of talked about his viewpoints on africa. And then also a very critical interview that he gave when he attended the organizational organization of African Unity conference in in late july of 1964. In which he sort of discussed his strategy and the reason why he came to that conference and was appealing to these african heads of state. Preparing nominations for senate or the houses of congress to aview the change. Sincerely yours, and it is dated october 17th, 1901. So the president s secretary saying for future reference any documents you send to the president for him to sign, the heading should be white house. So october 17th, 1901 thats when that directive is sent. But there is no real executive order, there is no law, so when they say that roosevelt officially changed the name from executive mansion to white house, it is true, but it is kind of hard to pin down exactly when it happened. We know it is october 1901, but is it when they send the letters out ....

About the start of the city of san antonio. We are at the entrance to mission san jose. This is part of the San Antonio Mission National Historic park. This is a unit of the National Park service. There are more than 400 National Park sites around the country. Each of these 419plus units help to tell some part of the american story.
