Tonight police are looking for a single gunman and three of his friends. It could have killed somebody. Reporter it looked innocent enough. Four men leaving a rhawnhurst restaurant one in wheelchair, another guy pushing him. A third man goes to this van. They get in and seconds later theres a burst of gunfire coming from the van. This guy decides hes just going to fire off six or eight shots into the air with total disregard and recklessness for the public. It was just rapid gunfire but that was it. Frankly, most importantly, we can all agree coming to some agreement in a reasonable time frame is probably the most important thing this committee can do to help grow our economy. And doing it on a timeline that allows the Appropriation Committee to deliver a result without shutting down the government or putting it at any risk is about the best thing we can do. I will agree we cant simply grow our way out of our problem. We have to address the driver of our debt and deficit. We have to dont reduce our deficits which weve cut in half over the last four years. If we dont, interest intense is a very real threat for crowding out both public and private investment in education r d and infrastructure. Over the last three years weve made real strides in reducing our deficit. We saved more than 12. 5 billion. Thats been unbalanced. About 70 has been from spending cut. 30 from revenue. We need to do more but we have do it, i believe, in a balanced way. Weve heard from senators about the need
