UUMV and dangerous operation charges at Maroochydore
Police have charged a 34-year-old Mountain Creek man following a string of alleged offences since Tuesday, May 11.
Around 8pm it will be alleged the man attempted to steal a 25-year-old delivery driver’s car when she stopped on Alexandra Parade. He allegedly forced the woman out of her vehicle, tried unsuccessfully to start the car, then fled on foot when she called out to bystanders.
It will also be alleged the man stole a blue Mazda hatchback from an address at Woorilla Crescent, Mountain Creek later that evening. It was later located damaged at Marra Court. ....

A man who was arrested on Wednesday afternoon following an alleged string of offences including stealing cars and dangerous driving has faced court.
Aaron John Robbie, 34, will remain in custody following his appearance in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.
Speaking to media on Thursday, Maroochydore Criminal Investigations Branch officer-in-charge Daren Edwards said the Mountain Creek man was arrested after police allege he threatened another man at knifepoint, demanding the keys to his vehicle at a Gardak Street address, before fleeing the scene on foot about 3.30pm on Wednesday.
Senior Sergeant Edwards said Mr Robbie was apprehended a short distance away. ....

UPDATE 4.30PM: The owner of a utility which was allegedly used in a high-speed spree across the Sunshine Coast says GPS technology helped him track the vehicle.
DSE Civil Electrical director Darryl Rankin said he had tracked his allegedly stolen Toyota HiLux from his Warana shopfront to a Gardak Street, Maroochydore address.
Mr Rankin said it was a young man behind the wheel of the utility which went roaring out of his shop s driveway about 12pm.
He said the GPS tracker helped police follow the man s many movements and eventually catch him.

A Coast woman was brought to the attention of police after her lost purse, containing $800 and cocaine was handed in, a court has heard.
Carni Raechell Muir s wallet was handed into the Maroochydore Police Station by a member of the public, who found it on Gardak Street on November 23.
Police prosecutor Lee Allan told Maroochydore Magistrates Court that police arranged for Muir to attend the station after the contents were revealed.
The purse contained $750.25, personal cards, bank cards, and a driver s licence with the name of the defendant, Senior Constable Allan said.
Also contained in the purse was a small clip seal bag containing a small amount of white powder and seven smaller clip seal bags containing white powder residue. ....
