intersection is closed after her car was hit by a cat train in caltrain in menlo park at 4:45 yesterday afternoon at the ravenswood avenue crossing. the train dragged the car half a mile down the tracks. a 30-year-old woman died in the vehicle. passengers say the crossing is busy and congested. i see people stop on the tracks all the time and i wonder why. no one on the train was hurt. southbound trains were stopped during an investigation and clean-up stranding hundreds of people during their evening commute. caltrain believes the railroad gate was working properly before the accident. santa rosa police say marijuana was being cultivated at a house that was the scene of a home invasion and deadly shooting. it happened yesterday morning. police say three intruders got into a gun battle with a man in the home. one suspect died. another is hospitalized. a third is in custody. no one who lived in the home was injured. it appears that that that home was targeted due to
