Funding For Colorado Proud
A bill working its way through the state legislature could send as much as 2.5 million dollars to the Colorado Department of Agriculture for its Colorado Proud Program.
The Funding Colorado Proud bill is expected to pass. The money should help agriculture businesses create new resources and enhance marketing support among other needs.
Colorado Proud Marketing Specialist Danielle Trotta says this an opportunity for Colorado Ag businesses to give them feedback about how exactly they’d like to see the money used.
Trotta: “We did send out a survey of all of our members and stakeholders because we really want to know what business owners, organizations, producers want us to do with the funds that would be most resourceful in this time moving forward from the pandemic. We’ve got some big ideas that we’re looking into with retailers and reaching out to consumers to get Colorado Proud front of mind in our state and the consumers that live ....
