Domestic workers alliance, a really big picture what is happening and what does it say about the state of labor in this country? we ve been having a national conversation about inequality in this country since the economic crisis of 2000 and a 2009. the fundamentals have not changed. economic insecurity is continuing to rise and economic dignity is not, and we have pervasive economic insecurity in our economy and an epidemic of low wage work, where you have millions of people who work incredibly hard, every single day, do everything in their power and still can t pay the bills. still can t take care of their families and i think what we re seeing is workers coming together with their unions and say enough is enough. we deserve fairness, we deserve respect. and we deserve fair compensation. fair conversation, the other ....
