surcharge on international flights by between 20 and $50. on the airline s domestic flights, there is no fuel surcharge, but the basic ticket price has gone up by as much as 5%. certainly qantas isn t alone in the fuel price surcharges. singapore airlines has raised its surcharges. it did that about a month ago because of the rise in oil prices back then. surcharges now standing between $3 and $27 higher. and that depends on the route. and also the class that you are flying. if you re flying in business class, you ll be flying more in the surcharge. and this is the hong kong flights. the airlines apply to the government for a fuel charge. the aviation department decides what the airline can charge. cathay has been allowed to raise the surcharge this month by about $9 over the february charge. this only applies, though, to
